This is the first time I've had the pleasure of visiting Gallerie Besson. They have a great reputation and represent some of the best (master) potters as well as many more modern contemporary potters. The gallery is much smaller than I had realised but the light it gets is absolutely stunning. In this respect it was a shame that the exhibition I saw of Gordon Crosby was, in my opinion, not worth writing home about. His work reminded me a lot of Ewen Henderson with many different tones of grey and green in his pieces with none of the more interesting textures and angles that can be found in Ewen's work. I'll be pleased to go back and see some truely world class ceramics there at another point in time.
